Quality Assurance Seminar (27th March, 2012）Kwansei Gakuin University and Canadian 3 partner universities (Mount Allison University, Queen's University and the University of Toronto) held a seminar on university quality assurance in Japan and Canada. The seminar was opened to the public.

Pilot Program of Joint Seminar(19th-25th Feb, 2012）Kwansei Gakuin University (KGU) with the cooperation of Queen's University ran a pilot program for the Joint Seminar in Canada and Japan, one of the core courses for the Cross-Cultural College (CCC) Certificate Program. The seminar lasted for one week from February 19-25, 2012 at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario.
Prof. Martin Collick, (KGU), the Senior Coordinator for CCC, and Prof. Emeritus William James (Queen's University) collaborated to facilitate the pilot program on "Issues in Contemporary Canadian and Japanese Society". 8 students from KGU and 8 students from the Canadian partner universities (Mount Allison University, Queen's University and University of Toronto) participated in the program and the 16 students from both countries spent one week living and studying together. The participants heard lectures on Japan and Canada, and in small groups studied and compared contemporary issues in in both countries. To complete the seminar, the group members gave presentations of their discoveries and renewed understanding of the topics they had chosen and worked together on.
